Embassy Manor at Edison Nursing and Rehabilitation was identified as the second largest nursing home in Middlesex County in the first quarter of 2026, data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) shows.
The facility provided a total of 280 beds, which is 126 more than the Middlesex County average for the same period. On average, Embassy Manor assisted 226.6 residents each day during that time frame.
For its overall performance, the CMS rated Embassy Manor at Edison Nursing and Rehabilitation a 2 out of 5, below the statewide nursing home average rating of 3.4 in New Jersey.
Within the quarter, New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home Menlo was the county’s largest facility, offering 328 beds, while Alameda Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare had the third highest bed count at 250.
Embassy Manor at Edison Nursing and Rehabilitation reported no fines or penalties in the first quarter of 2026.
Middlesex County, New Jersey, recorded 17 for-profit nursing homes in total.
U.S. Census Bureau estimates indicate the country’s older population is rising as the number of children decreases. Americans age 65 and older grew by 13% from 2020 to 2024, while individuals under 18 declined 1.7%. Over the past century, the U.S. older population has seen substantial growth, from 4.9 million in 1920 to more than 61 million in 2024.
A 2021 study found nearly half of Americans in this age group, or about 28 million people, may utilize long-term services and support. The study also estimates over a third could eventually require nursing home services.
“Living a long life is something that many of us want and could get,” said Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance, an organization focused on insurance education. “But when we live a long life, the chances of us needing long-term care increase exponentially. But when you need that type of care, there are limited options.”
