Rep. Frank Pallone, a longtime U.S. Congressman representing New Jersey’s 6th district since 1988, posted a series of statements on January 15, 2026, addressing legislative priorities and concerns related to public safety, child health care monitoring, and alleged censorship at the Federal Communications Commission.
In his first post of the day, Pallone emphasized congressional responsibility for equipping emergency responders: “It’s Congress’ job to make sure our first responders have the tools they need to do theirs. That’s why I’m strongly supporting passage of Next Generation 9-1-1 in @EnergyCommerce today. This bill would finally allow Americans to text pictures and videos to emergency personnel,” he wrote on January 15, 2026.
Later that afternoon, Pallone announced a bipartisan initiative with Senator Ron Wyden aimed at reinstating certain child vaccination metrics removed by the Trump Administration: “I’m teaming up with @RonWyden to demand the Trump Administration restore important measurements of child vaccinations. We cannot abdicate responsibility to monitor the quality of care provided to nearly half of our nation’s children.” This statement was posted on January 15, 2026.
Pallone also expressed criticism regarding actions by Brendan Carr at the FCC: “Brendan Carr is weaponizing the @FCC to censor speech Trump doesn’t like. And Republicans are letting them get away with it.” The tweet was published later that same day.
Frank Pallone has been active in federal politics for decades after serving in the New Jersey Senate from 1984 until his election to Congress in 1988. Born in Long Branch, New Jersey in 1951 and currently residing there, Pallone earned his undergraduate degree from Middlebury College in 1973 before receiving a law degree from Rutgers University-Camden in 1978.
