Later in the evening, he commented on local festivities by stating, “Beautiful day here at the Long Branch Columbus Day parade. Pallone has served in Congress since 1988 after replacing James J. Howard and previously held office in the New Jersey Senate from 1984 to 1988. He was born in Long Branch, New Jersey in 1951 and continues to reside there. His educational background includes a BA from Middlebury College and a JD from Rutgers University-Camden.
