Rep. Frank Pallone, who represents New Jersey’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress, has posted a series of critical messages on social media addressing current economic and public health issues, attributing them to Republican leadership and former President Trump.

On September 2, 2025, Pallone commented on the state of the economy, writing, “The middle class squeeze is worsening with pessimism about the job market and consumer confidence plummeting. All of this is happening because of Trump and GOP mismanagement.”

Continuing his criticism the next day, Pallone addressed recent statements by Peter Navarro regarding tariffs implemented during Trump’s presidency. On September 3, he stated, “The reality is the opposite of what Navarro says: Trump’s tariffs are the thing that will be the ‘end of the United States.’ They’re blowing holes in Americans’ pocketbooks and tanking our economy, and it’s all to feed Trump’s ego.”

Later on September 3, Pallone shifted focus to public health concerns, expressing concern over Secretary Kennedy’s actions: “Secretary Kennedy is endangering the health of every American. It is well past time for Republican leaders to stop looking the other way and start demanding some accountability.”

Pallone has served as a member of Congress since 1988 after replacing James J. Howard. Before his tenure in Congress, he was a member of the New Jersey Senate from 1984 to 1988. Born in Long Branch, New Jersey in 1951 and currently residing there at age 71, Pallone holds a BA from Middlebury College (1973) and a JD from Rutgers University-Camden (1978).
