U.S. Representative Frank Pallone, who has represented New Jersey’s 6th district in Congress since 1988, recently posted a series of tweets criticizing Republican economic policies and honoring Mexican American heritage.
On May 4, 2026, Pallone wrote, “THOUSANDS more New Jerseyans are going bankrupt thanks to Trump’s policies. What’s @HouseGOP’s priority? Sending another $70 billion to the same ICE that shot two Americans in broad daylight—no questions asked. Unbelievable.”
The following day, on May 5, 2026, he continued his criticism of Republican leadership with a post stating, “A tale as old as time: Republicans take control and run the economy into the ground because they only make policies that benefit CEOs at the expense of working families. When Americans’ ability to afford the basics is put in jeopardy, everyone pays the price.”
Also on May 5, Pallone recognized Cinco de Mayo by posting: “Happy Cinco de Mayo, New Jersey! Mexican American communities across the country celebrate their history and heritage today, and these communities have contributed much to life here in New Jersey’s 6th District. I’m proud to honor Mexican American heritage today and every day.”
Pallone has served in Congress for nearly four decades after succeeding James J. Howard in 1988. He previously held office in the New Jersey Senate from 1984 to 1988. Born in Long Branch, New Jersey in 1951 and currently residing there at age 71, Pallone graduated from Middlebury College before earning a law degree from Rutgers University-Camden.
