Rep. Frank Pallone, a longtime U.S. Congressman representing New Jersey’s 6th district, posted a series of messages on October 15, 2025, expressing criticism of recent Republican actions regarding health care and education policy.
In a tweet posted at 21:19 UTC, Pallone wrote, “Trump just fired the people who help kids with disabilities learn to speak, walk, and read – all so billionaires can keep their tax cuts.”
Shortly after, at 21:19 UTC, he questioned the effectiveness of certain educational goals by asking, “Are any of their listed goals preparing students to read?”
Later the same evening, at 21:31 UTC, Pallone shared his participation in a discussion with other Democratic lawmakers in Washington, D.C., stating, “I just joined my Democratic colleagues in Washington to unpack just how disastrous the Republican cuts to health care will be to American families. Real people are going to feel real pain, and Republicans shut the government down rather than lower peoples’ health care costs.”
Pallone has served in the U.S. Congress since 1988, succeeding James J. Howard, and previously held a seat in the New Jersey Senate from 1984 to 1988. He was born in Long Branch, New Jersey in 1951 and continues to reside there. Pallone graduated from Middlebury College in 1973 and earned a JD from Rutgers University-Camden in 1978.
