Rep. Frank Pallone, who represents New Jersey’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress and has served since 1988, used his social media platform on October 17, 2025, to address ongoing political and healthcare issues.
In a post from that day, Pallone criticized Republican lawmakers for their handling of government operations, stating: “It’s DAY 17 of the REPUBLICAN RETREAT. It’s real simple. Cancel the cuts. Lower the costs. Save health care. Republicans shut the government down rather than do ANY of these three things.” (October 17, 2025).
Later the same day, Pallone commented on local healthcare developments in Long Branch, New Jersey—his birthplace and current residence—writing: “RWJBarnabas and Governor Murphy are shutting down Long Branch’s only hospital before he leaves office. There’s no reason to rush this except one: profit. A so-called ‘nonprofit’ hospital is abandoning a working-class community to build a luxury facility for wealthier patients.” (October 17, 2025).
He also directed followers to his commentary published in The New York Times with a brief message: “Read my words in the @NYTimes below “ (October 17, 2025).
