Rep. Frank Pallone, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 6th district, recently expressed concerns over Meta’s policy changes and shared personal reflections through a series of tweets. Pallone has been an active political figure since 1988, succeeding James J. Howard. His educational background includes a BA from Middlebury College and a JD from Rutgers University-Camden.

On February 8, 2025, Rep. Pallone criticized Meta for its recent policy changes, which he described as “outrageous.” He stated that “Meta’s dangerous new policy changes are outrageous.” He further elaborated that the company had eliminated third-party fact-checking and dismantled protections against hate speech, which he believes puts Americans at risk.

Later that day, Pallone shared a personal moment on social media about his walk along the beach in Long Branch. He remarked that it always makes him feel more optimistic even during winter months: “Walked along the beach in Long Branch.”

In another tweet on the same day, Rep. Pallone commented on a court injunction regarding Musk’s DOGE and its access to the Treasury payment system. He noted that this issue had prompted significant concern among his constituents: “Glad to see a court injunction to stop Musk‘s DOGE from accessing the Treasury payment system.”
