Rep. Frank Pallone, a longtime U.S. Congressman representing New Jersey’s 6th district, criticized recent policy proposals affecting social safety net programs in a series of posts on November 5, 2025.
In one post, Pallone wrote: “They spike your grocery bill—and then leave millions of SNAP/EBT cards empty. They ruin the job market—and then threaten unemployment insurance. They’re doing all this to kick millions of people off their health insurance—and then they have the gall to say they care about https://t.co/qroOCFhQIL” (posted November 5, 2025).
Later that day, he posted: “In Trump’s America, hungry kids don’t get fed, your insurance premium jumps by a thousand dollars, and you can’t even fly home for Thanksgiving. Is this what Trump’s “winning” looks like? https://t.co/p5aFHN7XAf” (posted November 5, 2025).
A third message from Pallone stated: “Your entire party voted to cut SNAP and kick 18 MILLION kids off their school lunch with your Big, Ugly Bill. We are not the same. https://t.co/7w7Ao3QX6F” (posted November 5, 2025).
Pallone has represented New Jersey’s 6th District in Congress since replacing James J. Howard in 1988 and previously served in the New Jersey Senate from 1984 to 1988. Born in Long Branch, New Jersey in 1951 and currently residing there at age 71, Pallone holds degrees from Middlebury College and Rutgers University-Camden.
