Rep. Frank Pallone, a U.S. Congressman representing New Jersey’s 6th district since 1988, used his social media platform on October 19, 2025, to criticize House Republicans and the Trump Administration while highlighting concerns about health insurance rates and press freedom.
On October 19, Pallone posted, “It’s DAY 19 of the REPUBLICAN RETREAT. Republicans have kept the House out of session for a MONTH.
Meanwhile, states are releasing data on rising health insurance rates that double or even TRIPLE premiums because Republicans refuse to address the health care crisis. Later that day, Pallone wrote, “Let’s set the record straight: thousands of people are being fired, journalists are being banned from conducting oversight, and billionaire media tycoons are kowtowing to the Trump Administration. He’s made America the most unfree it’s been in decades. #NoKings https://t.co/isNiNj1Ur1” (posted at 17:36 UTC). In this post, he alleged job losses, restricted journalistic oversight, and undue influence by wealthy media owners under former President Donald Trump’s administration.
In another message later that evening at 20:46 UTC, Pallone posted simply: “Trump’s economy: EXPOSED. https://t.co/JTi62pg6ZW”.
