On March 13, 2025, Pallone criticized the Trump Administration’s decision to halt certain vaccine studies amid increasing measles cases. He stated that “Amid rising measles cases, the NIH is now openly muzzling vaccine research. By canceling these studies, the Trump Administration is throwing critical, unfinished research in the trash can.” He further warned that “This dangerous action will cost lives.”
On March 14, 2025, Pallone expressed sorrow over the passing of his colleague Rep. Raul Grijalva. He wrote: “Devastated by the loss of my good friend and colleague @RepRaulGrijalva who was always fighting for the people and pushing to protect the environment and our natural resources. We will all miss him dearly.”
Later that day, Pallone criticized EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin for allegedly prioritizing corporate interests over public health and environmental protection. He asserted: “EPA is supposed to protect Americans’ health and environment, but the only thing Zeldin is protecting is polluter profits.” He accused MAGA affiliates within the agency of compromising public welfare for financial gain.
