Rep. Frank Pallone, U.S. Congressman representing New Jersey’s 6th district since 1988, posted a series of tweets on April 16 and 17, 2026, addressing issues related to energy policy, environmental protection, and immigration.
On April 16, Pallone questioned the conduct of Trump administration officials in relation to the ongoing war and potential profiteering. He wrote: “I asked @ENERGY Secretary Chris Wright why every signal suggests the Trump administration is exploiting this unjust war to make his circle a buck. He just admitted he still hasn’t bothered to investigate it.”
Later that day, Pallone commented on changes to coal ash regulations: “This is crazy. Coal ash is toxic and known to cause cancer. Dismantling the rules that protect our communities from it will have devastating consequences. This is the direct result of Trump putting his rich corporate polluter buddies in the driver’s seat at EPA.”
On April 17, Pallone addressed immigration policy regarding Haitian Temporary Protected Status (TPS) holders: “Haitian TPS holders are our friends, neighbors, and vital parts of our communities. Forcing them to emigrate back to Haiti—where their lives could be threatened—is just plain cruel. That’s why I voted for @RepPressley’s legislation to extend Temporary Protected Status for”
Frank Pallone has served as a member of Congress since replacing James J. Howard in 1988 and previously held office in the New Jersey Senate from 1984 to 1988. Born in Long Branch, New Jersey in 1951, he continues to reside there at age 71. Pallone graduated from Middlebury College with a BA in 1973 and earned a JD from Rutgers University-Camden in 1978.
