Rep. Frank Pallone, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 6th district, has expressed strong opinions on recent actions by President Trump through a series of tweets. Pallone, who has served in Congress since 1988 and previously in the New Jersey Senate, voiced his concerns about Trump’s policy decisions.

On January 21, 2025, Pallone criticized President Trump’s decision to withdraw from the Paris Climate Accord on his first day in office. He argued that this move undermines America’s global leadership and allows adversaries like China to fill the void left by the United States. “On his first day in office, President Trump has once again announced his intention to withdraw from the Paris Climate Accord.”

In another tweet posted later that day, Pallone addressed an executive order related to ByteDance and TikTok. He expressed doubts about ByteDance’s efforts to sell TikTok and emphasized the need for serious action from both ByteDance and China for TikTok’s continued presence in the U.S. “I have serious concerns with President Trump’s executive order.”

Finally, Pallone condemned President Trump’s blanket pardon for individuals involved in the January 6 insurrection at the Capitol. He described it as a betrayal of American values and stated that those who participated in such violent acts do not deserve pardons. “Trump’s blanket pardon for January 6 insurrectionists is a shameful betrayal of our American values.”
