Rep. Frank Pallone, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 6th district, has been vocal on social media regarding recent actions by former President Donald Trump. His comments reflect concerns about crime, government oversight, and public health policy.

On January 25, 2025, Rep. Pallone criticized Trump’s decision to pardon a cyber criminal involved in drug trafficking. He stated, “Trump, who campaigned on cracking down on crime and getting fentanyl out of our communities, just pardoned a cyber criminal who was sentenced to life in prison for drug trafficking and creating a vast online illegal drug market. How hypocritical!”

Later that day, he addressed another action by Trump concerning the removal of government watchdogs. On January 25, 2025, he remarked, “Last night, Trump defied the law and purged more than 12 independent government watchdogs. Today, I joined other House Committee leaders in demanding he withdraw this illegal action.”

Continuing his critique of Trump’s policies related to international cooperation during health crises, Pallone expressed his disapproval of Trump’s withdrawal from the World Health Organization (WHO). On January 26, 2025, he tweeted: “In public health emergencies it’s critical that we coordinate with other nations. Trump’s decision to withdraw from the World Health Organization is going to seriously undermine those efforts – threatening our public health and national security.”
