Rep. Frank Pallone, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 6th district, recently took to social media to express his views on energy policy and climate agreements. Pallone has been serving in Congress since 1988 after succeeding James J. Howard, and he has consistently advocated for clean energy initiatives.
On November 24, 2024, Pallone tweeted about the ongoing transition towards cheaper clean energy and its implications for the oil and gas industry. He stated, “As our nation move towards cheaper clean energy, Big Oil & Gas CEOs are threatened. That’s why they’re calling on Trump to reverse federal actions that foster the transition. I’ll fight to ensure we continue to lower energy costs for American families.”
Later that day, Pallone criticized former President Trump’s stance on international climate agreements, specifically the Paris Agreement. In his tweet from November 24, he remarked, “It defies logic for Trump to even consider pulling the U.S. out of the Paris Agreement again. We’ve made significant progress in recent years in our goal of leading the clean energy transition, but Trump is willing to surrender that leadership to China.”
On November 25, Pallone addressed claims regarding Trump’s involvement with Project 2025 and recent appointments within his administration. He commented via Twitter, “Remember when Trump said he had nothing to do with Project 2025? Well, that wasn’t true. He just appointed a leader of Project 2025 to lead the Office of Management and Budget.”
