On April 11, 2025, Rep. Pallone expressed concerns regarding the Trump Administration’s stance on climate research. He wrote, “Burying your head in the sand won’t stop the heat, the floods, or the smog. Trump says climate research causes anxiety—so he’s canceling it. But the problem isn’t fear. It’s denial. Young people deserve facts, not censorship.”
Later the same day, Pallone invited the public to join him for his regular updates. He posted, “Join me now for my weekly update!” encouraging community engagement with his legislative activities.
Rep. Pallone also criticized the Trump Administration for their proposed changes to the Affordable Care Act, highlighting its potential impact. He stated, “The Trump Administration is once again trying to sabotage the Affordable Care Act. According to their own estimate, the proposed changes from RFK, Jr. and Dr. Oz will result in two million people losing coverage. This is unnecessary and intentionally cruel.”
Pallone’s efforts within the U.S. Congress are supported by his long history in public service, having replaced James J. Howard in 1988. Before serving in Congress, he was part of the New Jersey Senate from 1984 to 1988. Pallone graduated from Middlebury College and Rutgers University and has a deep-rooted connection to Long Branch, New Jersey, where he was born.
