In one post on February 10, Pallone encouraged public participation in online discussions by stating, “Good point here! Reading the comments is useful.”
Later that day, he addressed the importance of communication infrastructure for emergency responders: “Our nation’s first responders deserve to know they will always be able to stay in touch during emergencies. That’s why we MUST reauthorize FirstNet, so our first responders can continue to do their jobs and save lives. After months of close bipartisan cooperation, I’m glad to”.
In another tweet posted at 21:00 UTC on February 10, Pallone reflected on both historical and current economic issues with a personal story: “A few months ago, my staff went digging through the old Congressional Cookbook and uncovered something I’d forgotten existed: my entry for ‘Depression Cake.’ This week, for a staff birthday, they decided that between Trump’s tariffs, runaway Trumpflation, and news that U.S.”
Pallone has been active in Congress since replacing James J. Howard in 1988 and previously served in the New Jersey Senate from 1984 to 1988. Born in Long Branch in 1951 and currently residing there at age 71, he holds degrees from Middlebury College (BA) and Rutgers University-Camden (JD).
