Rep. Frank Pallone, a longtime U.S. Congressman representing New Jersey’s 6th district since 1988, posted a series of messages on April 16, 2026, addressing topics from genocide remembrance to public safety and energy policy.
On the evening of April 16, Pallone reflected on his participation in an event marking the anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. He stated, “I was honored to speak tonight at the Capitol Hill commemoration of the anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. This unspeakable crime, perpetrated more than a century ago, must never be forgotten.
I fought hard in Congress to win United States recognition of this crime, and as” (April 16, 2026).
Earlier that day, Pallone acknowledged National Public Safety Communicators Week by expressing gratitude for emergency dispatchers. He wrote, “It’s National Public Safety Communicators Week! A huge thank you to the 911 dispatchers in New Jersey and around the country who answer when people call, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Their emotionally intensive work is central to our emergency response system, and they save” (April 16, 2026).
Later on April 16, Pallone criticized previous federal energy policies while announcing congressional oversight efforts: “The Trump Admin’s energy policies have been an absolute failure.
Today we’re holding @ENERGY Secretary Wright accountable for what’s happening on his watch and for the continuing steep price increases American families are facing every day.” (April 16, 2026).
Pallone has served continuously in Congress since replacing James J. Howard in 1988 and previously held office in the New Jersey Senate from 1984 to 1988. Born in Long Branch in 1951 and still residing there at age 71, he holds degrees from Middlebury College and Rutgers University-Camden.
