U.S. Representative Frank Pallone, who has represented New Jersey’s 6th district since 1988, expressed concerns over foreign policy and domestic political developments in a series of posts on social media between January 15 and January 16, 2026.

On January 15, Pallone addressed reports regarding military movements in Syria: “There are now credible reports that Syrian forces, alongside Turkey, may be advancing against our Kurdish allies in Northern Syria. I’m deeply concerned by this news. Any further attacks on these forces, who were central to defeating ISIS and remain key allies of the United”.

Later that day, he criticized Republican health care proposals and former President Trump’s policies: “Republicans spent the last year taking health care away from millions of people and spiking costs. On January 16, Pallone commented on what he described as a strategy by Donald Trump: “Trump’s plan is unfolding before our eyes. Step 1: try to incite violence on our streets. Frank Pallone has been an active member of Congress since replacing James J. Howard in 1988 after previously serving in the New Jersey Senate from 1984 to 1988. Born in Long Branch, New Jersey in 1951, Pallone is currently a resident there at age 71. He holds a BA from Middlebury College (1973) and a JD from Rutgers University-Camden (1978).
