The Borough of Milltown has issued a message to residents following a recent snowstorm, asking for patience as Department of Public Works (DPW) staff work to clear snow. The borough noted that DPW employees are handling the snow clean-up in addition to their regular responsibilities, which include garbage collection and addressing daily emergencies.

Residents were reminded that it is their responsibility to clear hydrants, sidewalks, and driveway aprons on their property. This applies regardless of how the snow accumulates or if it was displaced by plowing operations.

“Please be patient while DPW staff is working diligently to clean up after the recent snow storm. Our employees are conducting this clean up in addition to their regular daily duties such as garbage collection, as well as the emergencies that arise on a daily basis. Also, please be aware that clearing hydrants, sidewalks and driveway aprons are the property owner’s responsibility, regardless of how the snow accumulates, including snow displaced by plowing operations. Thank you for your cooperation.”
