Milltown Public Schools announced on April 14 that it is inviting all members of the community to participate in the New Jersey School Climate Improvement (NJ SCI) Survey, as part of a three-year partnership with Rutgers University.

The survey aims to gather feedback from students, staff, and families about the climate and culture within Milltown schools. According to the announcement, this input will help district leadership identify strengths and challenges, as well as develop a strategic plan for improving student support and the overall school experience.

“This is your opportunity to ensure your voice is heard and your ideas help guide meaningful change,” the statement said. The message emphasized that responses are anonymous, specific to each school, and will be accepted until April 17.

The district encouraged participation by stating: “We strongly encourage every member of our community to participate and help us build a stronger, more connected school system for our children.” Links were provided for both Joyce Kilmer School (password: Knights) and Parkview School (password: Pandas).

The announcement concluded by reinforcing the importance of collective effort: “Together, we can continue to strengthen our schools, support our students, and build a brighter future for Milltown.”

Community involvement in surveys like NJ SCI may play an important role in shaping educational priorities going forward.
