Rep. Frank Pallone, who has represented New Jersey’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress since 1988, recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing issues ranging from air travel delays to health insurance costs and democratic transparency.
On October 9, 2025, Pallone criticized Republican policies in a post, stating, “Remember as you sit on the tarmac waiting to take off for five hours: Republicans did this so they could double the price of your health insurance.”
Later that day, he called for greater governmental transparency and action regarding political processes. In another tweet dated October 9, 2025, Pallone wrote, “Enough is enough. Arizonans, and all Americans, deserve transparency and a functioning democracy—swear her in.”
In a separate message on the same date, Pallone expressed gratitude after being recognized by Monmouth University’s Urban Coast Institute. He stated, “Thanks to Monmouth University’s Urban Coast Institute for honoring me today with their National Champions of the Ocean Award. I will continue to advocate for New Jersey’s coastal communities.”
Frank Pallone has had a longstanding career in public service. Before entering Congress in 1988 after replacing James J. Howard, he served in the New Jersey Senate from 1984 to 1988. Born in Long Branch, New Jersey in 1951, Pallone graduated from Middlebury College and later earned a law degree from Rutgers University-Camden. He continues to reside in Long Branch.
