Pallone, who has been in office since 1988 after succeeding James J. Howard, shared his views on legislative matters and celebrated local achievements.
On January 23, 2025, Rep. Pallone expressed his opposition to H.R. 21, a bill introduced by House Republicans that he described as “misleading” and potentially harmful to healthcare providers. He stated, “52 years after Roe, House Republicans are pushing H.R. 21—a misleading bill that endangers providers, ignores medical expertise, and sets the stage for a national abortion ban.” He further emphasized his stance by stating that personal medical decisions should not be dictated by politicians.
The following day, on January 24, Pallone congratulated three students from Edison Academy Magnet School for winning the Congressional App Challenge with their app “RADR.” He wrote “Congratulations to Ekya Dogra, Sahil Ghosh, and Adithiya Venkatakrishnan from Edison Academy Magnet School – the winners of the Congressional App Challenge! Their app ‘RADR’ is a technology concept to enhance amber alerts & assist in child abduction cases.”
