Rep. Frank Pallone, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 6th district since 1988, recently shared his perspectives on several pressing issues through a series of tweets. Known for his active role in legislative matters and advocacy for constituents’ concerns, Pallone addressed topics ranging from infrastructure to social security and international conflicts.

On March 20, 2025, Rep. Pallone expressed concerns about the ongoing issues faced by New Jersey commuters despite efforts to improve the Northeast Corridor. He noted that while “It’s good that @Amtrak has been working closely with NJ Transit to fix the Northeast Corridor,” commuters continue to experience delays and service failures. He emphasized his leadership in seeking updates on the allocation of $112 million in federal grants aimed at addressing these challenges.

Later that day, Pallone criticized former President Donald Trump’s proposed cuts to Social Security phone services. He highlighted the importance of maintaining human-operated support systems for seniors who rely on these services. In his words: “Trump wants to cut Social Security phone services—because nothing says ‘we care about seniors’ like forcing them to deal with a chatbot.” Pallone underscored that last year alone, the SSA managed 80 million calls, demonstrating the need for personal assistance.

In another tweet posted on March 20, 2025, Pallone commented on recent events involving Hamas terrorists breaking a ceasefire agreement by refusing to release hostages. Among those affected is Edan Alexander from New Jersey. Pallone asserted that “Hamas terrorists shattered the ceasefire by refusing to release the hostages—including New Jersey’s own Edan Alexander—because their goal has never been peace.” He reaffirmed Israel’s right to defend itself against such threats.
