Rep. Frank Pallone, a U.S. Congressman representing New Jersey’s 6th district since 1988, has recently posted several updates on his social media accounts addressing ongoing political developments and events.
On November 5, 2025, Pallone invited constituents to participate in a town hall focused on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), stating: “Join me and my New Jersey colleagues NOW for our SNAP Town Hall! https://t.co/dUkcoOt5X3”.
The following day, he commented on the retirement of former Speaker Nancy Pelosi. In his post dated November 6, 2025, Pallone wrote: “Nancy Pelosi’s retirement marks the end of an era. Her fingerprints are on every major Democratic achievement of the last two decades—from the Affordable Care Act to the Inflation Reduction Act. These bills simply would never have become law without her leadership. As a friend”.
Later that same day, Pallone addressed ongoing partisan disagreements in Congress regarding a government shutdown. He stated: “It’s DAY 37 of the REPUBLICAN RETREAT. Republicans are in DISARRAY because they finally are realizing the American people are BLAMING THEM FOR THEIR SHUTDOWN. It’s PAST time for them to come back to Washington to negotiate with Democrats to save health care.”
Pallone has represented New Jersey’s 6th District in Congress since replacing James J. Howard in 1988 and previously served in the New Jersey Senate from 1984 to 1988. Born in Long Branch, New Jersey in 1951, he continues to reside there at age 71. He holds degrees from Middlebury College and Rutgers University-Camden.
