Rep. Frank Pallone, who represents New Jersey’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently posted a series of tweets addressing national politics, climate change, and cultural milestones.
On August 24, 2025, Pallone criticized former President Donald Trump’s conduct while in office. He wrote: “Trump is going after his political opponents left and right and abusing his power in a way no other president has. He is undermining the rule of law and politicizing our law enforcement agencies—sliding our country closer and closer towards authoritarianism.”
The following day, August 25, Pallone highlighted the anniversary of a significant American music release. He stated: “Today marks 50 years since Bruce Springsteen released Born to Run—an album reflecting the American spirit in all its glory. I’m introducing a resolution to honor Bruce Springsteen’s legacy. I want to ensure that future generations can enjoy his music for years to come.”
Later on August 25, Pallone turned attention to environmental concerns affecting his home state. He tweeted: “More flooding, more extreme heat, and more sea level rise. According to the latest Rutgers Climate Report, these are all in store for New Jerseyans in the years to come, unless we take serious climate action. Trump and Republicans continue to ignore this crisis at our peril.”
Pallone has represented New Jersey’s 6th District since 1988 after succeeding James J. Howard and previously served in the New Jersey Senate from 1984 to 1988. Born in Long Branch in 1951, he continues to reside there at age 71. His educational background includes a BA from Middlebury College (1973) and a JD from Rutgers University-Camden (1978).
