Rep. Frank Pallone, a longtime U.S. Congressman representing New Jersey’s 6th district since 1988, used his social media platform to comment on several national and state issues in early December 2025.
On December 2, Pallone criticized former President Donald Trump’s handling of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), writing: “Fired. Rehired. Fired again. Trump is causing chaos for FEMA employees who are blowing the whistle on the administration gutting disaster response. It should be clear by now that Trump doesn’t care about keeping our communities safe—he only cares about political loyalty.”
The following day, December 3, Pallone addressed economic hardship facing Americans with a brief post: “People going into debt to pay for groceries isn’t a con job. THIS is.”
Later on December 3, he turned his attention to reproductive rights in New Jersey: “New Jersey has every right to go after people who lie, cheat, and block reproductive care. The Supreme Court already bailed on defending the right to choose: the least it can do is stay out of our way while we protect New Jerseyans.”
Pallone has been an active figure in Congress since succeeding James J. Howard in 1988 and previously served in the New Jersey Senate from 1984 to 1988. Born in Long Branch, New Jersey in 1951, Pallone continues to reside there at age 71. He holds degrees from Middlebury College and Rutgers University-Camden.
