Rep. Frank Pallone, a U.S. Congressman representing New Jersey’s 6th district since 1988, addressed several issues in a series of posts on his social media account this week.
On January 14, 2026, Pallone criticized former President Donald Trump and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem for their actions related to immigration enforcement, stating: “How depraved do you have to be to go after a grieving widow and use her as a scapegoat? Trump and Noem have taken our country down a dark path by weaponizing immigration agents to silence individuals’ First and Fourth Amendment rights. I’m glad these prosecutors stood up for https://t.co/n7eF0jiPxg”.
Later that day, on January 14, 2026, Pallone commented on the release of Armenian prisoners from Artsakh following years of captivity in Azerbaijan. He wrote: “I’m very glad to see the release of these Armenian prisoners from Artsakh after YEARS of Azerbaijani captivity. @StateDept must work harder to ensure that Azerbaijan releases the remaining prisoners—and I will not stop fighting until they are free.”
On January 15, 2026, Pallone marked National Bagel Day with a nod to his home state: “It’s National Bagel Day today—and every day in New Jersey! We’re the bagel capital of America, no matter what those wannabes across the Hudson might tell you.”
Pallone has been active in public service for decades. He began his political career in the New Jersey Senate from 1984 until he joined Congress in 1988. Born in Long Branch, New Jersey in 1951 and currently residing there at age 71, Pallone graduated from Middlebury College with a Bachelor of Arts degree and later earned his law degree from Rutgers University-Camden.
