Rep. Frank Pallone, a longtime U.S. Congressman representing New Jersey’s 6th district, addressed economic inequality, immigration enforcement, and ongoing conflict in a series of social media posts on April 19, 2026.
In one post, Pallone commented on the affordability of basic necessities and recent trends in grocery shopping: “It should go without saying, but you deserve to be able to afford food. The percentage of people buying groceries on Buy Now, Pay Later plans keeps getting higher and higher, and it’s because Trump and Republicans are rigging the economy for the top 0.1% and leaving everyone” (April 19, 2026).
Later that day, Pallone referenced his participation in a rally against recent actions by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Asbury Park: “I joined a rally today to oppose ICE’s recent brutality against immigrants in Asbury Park. I told anti-ICE protesters they’re having success in Washington. I’m not voting to send ICE another penny, and I voted this week to protect immigrants—like our Haitian neighbors—from losing” (April 19, 2026).
Addressing foreign policy and its domestic impact, Pallone wrote: “This is not a ‘job well done.’ This war should have never started—Trump hasn’t accomplished what he claims he has, and the war continues to drag on. Americans are still feeling this oil shock, and will be feeling it for a long time. End the war, permanently, NOW.” (April 19, 2026).
Pallone has served as representative for New Jersey’s 6th District since replacing James J. Howard in 1988. Before joining Congress, he served in the New Jersey Senate from 1984 to 1988. Born in Long Branch in 1951—where he currently resides—Pallone holds degrees from Middlebury College (BA) and Rutgers University-Camden (JD).
