Rep. Frank Pallone, who has represented New Jersey’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress since 1988, used his social media platform to criticize Republican policies on health insurance and comment on a local hospital closure.
On October 16, 2025, Pallone posted: “Republicans say they support America’s small business owners and entrepreneurs. But millions of Americans on the insurance marketplace who will see their prices DOUBLE are small business owners and employees—as well as students, retirees, and people living in red states. Later that day, he added: “Republicans are costing us BILLIONS in economic output because they want to double the price of your health insurance. They don’t know the first thing about running an economy, let alone lowering costs. https://t.co/8KRhyYp1OS”
On October 17, 2025, Pallone addressed a local healthcare issue: “RWJBarnabas is closing Long Branch’s only hospital to build a luxury hospital for wealthier patients in Tinton Falls. Pallone was born in Long Branch, New Jersey in 1951 and continues to reside there. He previously served in the New Jersey Senate from 1984 to 1988 before being elected to Congress. Pallone holds a BA from Middlebury College and a JD from Rutgers University-Camden.
