Rep. Frank Pallone, who has represented New Jersey’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress since 1988, addressed economic and social concerns through a series of posts on March 14, 2026.
In his first post at 12:47 p.m., Pallone wrote, “After Trump’s reckless war in Iran sent oil prices soaring, I asked my constituents—are your gas and energy bills out of control? 89% of respondents told me they were. It’s Pi Day, but that pie chart looks anything but delicious.”
Later that afternoon at 3:41 p.m., he continued his criticism of former President Donald Trump’s policies by stating, “Americans are struggling to put food on the table, but Trump’s only concern seems to be enriching himself and his billionaire friends. This is outrageous. The Presidency is NOT a piggy bank.”
In a third post published at 8:06 p.m., Pallone commented on the state of healthcare access and food insecurity: “Nobody should have to skip meals to pay for lifesaving care. America is becoming a sicker, hungrier, and crueler place under the Trump Administration.”
Pallone has served as the representative for New Jersey’s 6th District since succeeding James J. Howard in 1988. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he was a member of the New Jersey Senate from 1984 to 1988. Born in Long Branch, New Jersey in 1951, Pallone continues to reside there today. He holds a BA from Middlebury College (1973) and earned his JD from Rutgers University-Camden in 1978.
