Rep. Frank Pallone, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 6th district, has voiced his concerns on social media regarding recent political statements and policies affecting his constituents. His comments reflect apprehensions about economic strategies and public health decisions impacting New Jersey families, farmers, and businesses.
On March 19, 2025, Rep. Pallone criticized former President Trump’s remarks on economic recession. “Trump says a recession might be ‘worth it.’ Worth it for who? Not for Jersey families trying to pay the bills, not for retirees, not for small businesses already stretched thin. His policies drove up prices—now he’s fine with tanking the economy? Get outta here.”
The following day, March 20, 2025, Pallone addressed the impact of Trump’s trade policies on local agriculture in New Jersey. He stated that “Trump’s trade war and funding cuts are hurting NJ farmers. With fewer markets for Jersey Fresh, local produce prices will rise, and access to nutritious food will shrink. These policies threaten NJ’s economy and the health of our communities.”
Later that same day, Pallone expressed skepticism towards RFK Jr.’s approach to handling avian influenza outbreaks. He remarked that “Ah yes, the cutting-edge strategy of doing nothing. RFK Jr. wants to let bird flu rip through millions of birds and mutate freely—because if history has taught us anything, giving viruses unlimited chances to evolve always ends well. And surely, egg prices will drop any day now.”
