Additionally, Rep. Pallone commented on international politics concerning Germany’s leadership and U.S. Vice President Vance’s actions during his visit to Dachau. On February 17, he stated: “German Chancellor Scholz correctly rebuked Vice President Vance for supporting the pro-Nazi Alternative for Germany(AfD).” He accused Vance of ignoring “the political reality that led to the Holocaust by encouraging right-wing extremists who honor Hitler’s memory.”
