Rep. Frank Pallone, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 6th district since 1988, has used his social media platform to criticize former President Donald Trump’s economic and healthcare policies in a series of posts dated November 13, 2025.

In one post, Pallone drew attention to conflicting statements regarding tariffs from the former president and his Treasury Secretary: “Trump says tariffs are for revenue. His Treasury Secretary says they aren’t. The only thing these two can seem to agree upon? Americans should pay more for groceries.” (November 13, 2025).

Later that day, Pallone commented on employment trends among small businesses, stating: “It’s not just large corporations. Small businesses are pumping the brakes on hiring because Trump’s policies are tanking consumer confidence. America is LOSING under Trump’s incompetence.” (November 13, 2025).

Addressing healthcare costs, Pallone highlighted constituent concerns over insurance premiums: “More than HALF your take-home pay. Imagine if that was what your insurance premium jumped to. Are you just supposed to hope and pray you never get sick? That’s what Republicans forced millions of Americans like this constituent to do. This is the kind of cruelty I voted against.” (November 13, 2025).

Pallone has been an active legislator since first being elected to Congress in 1988 after serving in the New Jersey Senate from 1984 to 1988. He was born in Long Branch, New Jersey in 1951 and continues to reside there at age 71. His educational background includes a BA from Middlebury College and a JD from Rutgers University-Camden.
