Rep. Frank Pallone, a longtime U.S. Congressman representing New Jersey’s 6th district, posted a series of tweets on April 15, 2026, criticizing former President Donald Trump and Republican policies for their impact on working Americans.

On April 15, Pallone wrote: “A new study found Americans now must work FOUR EXTRA YEARS just to stay afloat. At the same time, Trump’s tax law helped corporations avoid $51 BILLION in taxes. This is how Trump and Republicans have tipped the scales to hurt working Americans and give more to billionaires who https://t.co/dljSghBikO”.

Later that day, he continued his criticism of Trump-era policies with another post: “In Trump’s America, we can’t afford health care, but we can spend a billion dollars a day on a war with Iran. https://t.co/qLklnfl5V8” (April 15, 2026).

In a third tweet referencing Tax Day, Pallone stated: “April 15th is Tax Day, and Americans are going to watch their refunds vanish at the pump and at the grocery store this year. That’s all thanks to Trump. His reckless war in Iran may have you spending an extra $740 for gas this year, and the accompanying inflation and price hikes” (April 15, 2026).

Frank Pallone has represented New Jersey’s 6th District in Congress since 1988 after previously serving in the New Jersey Senate from 1984 to 1988. Born in Long Branch, New Jersey in 1951, Pallone continues to reside there today. He graduated from Middlebury College with a BA in 1973 and earned his JD from Rutgers University-Camden in 1978.
