Rep. Frank Pallone, a U.S. Congressman representing New Jersey’s 6th district since 1988, used his social media platform on March 13, 2026, to criticize former President Donald Trump’s policies and their impact on American consumers.
In a post published at 15:11 UTC, Pallone wrote: “Consumers who were already being crushed by Trump’s high grocery prices and utility bills will soon feel those prices getting WORSE because of his war in Iran. It’s almost like he WANTS you to go broke!”
Later that day, at 18:26 UTC, Pallone continued his criticism by addressing the effects of Trump’s actions on energy prices and international relations: “This does precious little to lower gas and home energy prices for struggling Americans and puts more money in Putin’s pocket for his war in Ukraine. Trump’s war is a lose-lose for Americans and actively helps our adversary—Russia.”
At 21:02 UTC on the same day, Pallone shifted focus to public health concerns regarding flavored e-cigarettes: “Flavored e-cigs reversed decades of progress on teen tobacco use. We worked hard to stop companies from using flavors like bubblegum and cotton candy to get kids hooked. Now the Trump Admin is letting Big Tobacco use flavors again to get kids addicted.”
Pallone has represented New Jersey’s 6th District in Congress since succeeding James J. Howard in 1988 after previously serving in the New Jersey Senate from 1984 to 1988. Born in Long Branch, New Jersey in 1951, he continues to reside there today. He holds a BA from Middlebury College (1973) and a JD from Rutgers University-Camden (1978).
