Rep. Frank Pallone, a U.S. Congressman representing New Jersey’s 6th district since 1988, recently posted several comments on his Twitter account addressing national economic concerns, AI regulation, and recognition of first responders.
On January 11, 2026, Pallone criticized former President Donald Trump’s economic record, stating: “Trump just oversaw the worst year for hiring outside of a recession since 2003—and it only got worse as his economic agenda advanced. Americans can’t afford a rotten job market and flat wage growth when Trump’s policies are already strangling their wallets.”
Later that day, Pallone addressed issues related to artificial intelligence and online exploitation: “Grok is churning out sexualized images of women and children while Trump and Republicans are trying to block states from regulating AI. Elon Musk is ‘addressing’ this by charging users to create these exploitative images, which doesn’t stop the exploitation at all.”
In another post on January 11, Pallone commented on the recognition of first responders in Congress: “Shameful that @SpeakerJohnson, unlike @LeaderJohnThune, still refuses to honor the first responders who saved democracy. This plaque deserves a PERMANENT place of honor in the U.S. Capitol.”
Frank Pallone has represented New Jersey’s 6th District in Congress since replacing James J. Howard in 1988 and previously served in the New Jersey Senate from 1984 to 1988. Born in Long Branch, New Jersey in 1951, he continues to reside there today. He graduated from Middlebury College with a BA in 1973 and earned a JD from Rutgers University-Camden in 1978.
