Rep. Frank Pallone, who has represented New Jersey’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress since 1988, posted a series of statements on October 18, 2025, addressing local infrastructure improvements and national political issues.
In a post at 16:25 UTC, Pallone expressed frustration with ongoing challenges by stating, “How many times do we have to say it?”
Later that day at 17:50 UTC, he highlighted federal investment in local infrastructure: “We’re making improvements to the Sewaren waterfront, including $4 million in federal community project funding to the Sewaren Waterfront Walkway. Great to check out the progress with Mayor McCormac, Speaker Coughlin, and Assemblywoman Lopez.”
At 19:22 UTC, Pallone criticized Republican lawmakers and former President Donald Trump over recent government actions and economic conditions. He wrote: “Republicans shut the government down. Millions of Americans are being crushed by doubling insurance premiums and skyrocketing grocery bills. But Trump is too busy with his vanity projects and hosting billionaires to care about your cost of living.”
Pallone has served as a member of Congress for New Jersey’s 6th District since succeeding James J. Howard in 1988 and previously served in the New Jersey Senate from 1984 to 1988. Born in Long Branch, New Jersey in 1951, he continues to reside there at age 71. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts from Middlebury College (1973) and a Juris Doctor from Rutgers University-Camden (1978).
