Rep. Frank Pallone, who represents New Jersey’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on social media regarding recent anti-Semitic violence, federal infrastructure funding, and concerns about economic policy.
On January 12, 2026, Pallone addressed a recent hate crime in Mississippi: “Jackson, Mississippi’s only synagogue was destroyed in an arson attack yesterday—nearly sixty years after it was bombed by the KKK. This not an isolated incident.
Last spring, Governor Josh Shapiro’s home was firebombed on Passover. In Boulder, elderly Jewish people were set https://t.co/pD7arv1uKX” (January 12, 2026).
Later that day, he announced new federal investments for local water systems: “Big news! I secured over $2 MILLION in federal funds to upgrade water treatment infrastructure in Asbury Park and Perth Amboy.
This funding will help our communities screen water for debris and “forever chemicals” — keeping ocean and Bayshore water clean for residents and https://t.co/t2rdAugFOV” (January 12, 2026).
In another post on January 12, Pallone commented on national economic matters: “Trump’s quest for retribution and attempts to wrest control of the Federal Reserve from its independent board are putting our economy and your savings at risk.
I thank Jerome Powell for his courage. https://t.co/7kYe61Jy4W” (January 12, 2026).
Pallone has served as a member of Congress since 1988 after replacing James J. Howard and previously held office in the New Jersey Senate from 1984 to 1988. He was born in Long Branch, New Jersey in 1951 and continues to reside there. Pallone graduated from Middlebury College with a BA in 1973 before earning his JD from Rutgers University-Camden in 1978.
