Rep. Frank Pallone, who represents New Jersey’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently posted updates on several local initiatives and commemorations through his official social media account.
On April 30, 2026, Pallone addressed public health concerns in Keyport by announcing, “Following my call for a coordinated state-federal investigation of a potential cancer cluster in Keyport, New Jersey officials are launching new, comprehensive testing of the soil and groundwater to determine whether contamination has spread and if there’s any risk to residents.”
Later that same day, Pallone shared news about emergency services infrastructure in Metuchen: “I’m proud to have secured funding in today’s Homeland Security appropriations bill at the request of Metuchen Mayor Busch for a modern Emergency Services center. Our district’s first responders deserve to have all the tools and space they need to keep our communities safe, and”
On May 1, 2026, Pallone marked International Workers’ Day with recognition of organized labor’s historical achievements: “Happy May Day, New Jersey. Today is a celebration of the power of workers and organized labor—without which Americans wouldn’t have protections like a 40-hour workweek. Our state won many of the victories of the early labor movement, and I’m proud to advocate in Congress for”
Pallone has served as the U.S. Representative for New Jersey’s 6th District since 1988 after succeeding James J. Howard. He previously held office in the New Jersey Senate from 1984 to 1988. Born in Long Branch in 1951 and currently residing there at age 71, Pallone is an alumnus of Middlebury College (BA) and Rutgers University-Camden (JD).
