Rep. Frank Pallone, U.S. Congressman representing New Jersey’s 6th district since 1988, marked Memorial Day with a series of posts on social media reflecting on the significance of the holiday and his participation in local commemorations.
On May 25, 2026, Pallone posted, “This Memorial Day, we honor the ultimate sacrifice of those who lost their lives to defend our country’s liberty. We will never forget their heroism.”
Later that day, he highlighted community resilience during inclement weather at a local event: “Steady rain couldn’t deter the Old Bridge Memorial Day parade in Laurence Harbor. It was nice to see so many people come out to honor the fallen, even with the bad weather.” (May 25, 2026).
Pallone also joined neighboring communities for additional tributes: “Glad to join the New Brunswick and Highland Park communities to honor our fallen heroes on Memorial Day.” (May 25, 2026).
Frank Pallone has represented New Jersey’s 6th District in Congress since succeeding James J. Howard in 1988 and previously served in the New Jersey Senate from 1984 to 1988. Born in Long Branch, New Jersey, in 1951 and currently residing there at age 71, Pallone is an alumnus of Middlebury College and Rutgers University-Camden.
