Rutgers University's Division of Diversity, Inclusion and Community Engagement celebrated its 10th year of community partnerships, Sharing our Community Stories.
The New Brunswick Center's E.M.P.O.W.E.R. program was recognized for its efforts in preparing high school students for college. Next to New Brunswick Center Director Evelyn Rosa is Maria Martinez Tomas, an E.M.P.O.W.E.R. student who is actively engaged in her community as a community organizer with Unity Square in New Brunswick, a social justice initiative of Catholic Charities.
