Rutgers Day, the annual celebration at Rutgers University–New Brunswick, is just around the corner, scheduled for April 27. According to Melissa Selesky, senior director of strategic events and programs for Rutgers Communications and Marketing, the event is a great opportunity to connect with the community and enjoy all that the state university has to offer. She mentioned, "There's something for every age and interest. It’s a great day to come and enjoy all the wonderful things your state university has to offer."

One of the exciting changes for this year's Rutgers Day is the relocation of the New Jersey Folk Festival to a new space near Passion Puddle on the George H. Cook Campus in New Brunswick. Patricia Kastner, associate director of strategic events and programs for R-Comm, highlighted that this move aims to immerse festivalgoers in the vibrant cultural tapestry of the event while still enjoying traditional activities on the Cook campus.

For alumni, Rutgers Day provides a perfect opportunity to reconnect with old friends and engage in college fun. The event offers various activities tailored to different groups within the Rutgers community, from alumni gatherings to family-friendly events. The day is filled with diverse programs and demonstrations that cater to a wide range of interests.

From alumni tents to football games, cultural celebrations, interactive health villages, and educational demonstrations, Rutgers Day promises something for everyone. The event is a melting pot of traditions, innovations, and community spirit, showcasing the richness and diversity of Rutgers University.

As the date approaches, attendees are encouraged to plan their day wisely, considering the multitude of activities available across the Busch, College Avenue, and Cook/Douglass campuses. Rutgers Day is not only a celebration of the university but also a testament to the vibrant community that surrounds it, offering a glimpse into the diverse and dynamic world of Rutgers University.
