Later that day, he addressed tax filing issues by stating "Maybe someone should tell Team DOGE that it's Democrats who have been fighting FOR YEARS to make tax filing free and easy for all Americans – and it's always Republicans standing in the way." In another tweet posted on November 21, 2024, Pallone warned about potential impacts on the housing market if certain policies are enacted: "If Trump is successful in his efforts to dismantle Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, mortgage rates will go up and the housing market will suffer."
