Rep. Frank Pallone, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey's 6th district since 1988, shared a series of tweets on December 10, 2024, expressing his views on various legislative issues. His social media activity reflects his ongoing commitment to energy efficiency standards, environmental protection programs, and youth health initiatives.

In a tweet posted at 22:00 UTC on December 10, Pallone criticized legislation brought forth by the House GOP. He stated that after campaigning for lower prices for working families, the GOP is now introducing legislation that "guts energy efficiency standards," which he argues will raise energy bills for those same families. He emphasized his opposition by stating "I’m leading floor opposition to it today."

Later that day at 22:30 UTC, Pallone voiced his disagreement with a bill related to environmental policy. While supporting efforts to clean up abandoned mines, he opposed a bill creating new Superfund loopholes. He expressed concern that these loopholes could be exploited by bad actors and explained his stance: "I simply disagree that we need to undermine the Superfund program to do it."

At 23:59 UTC on the same day, Pallone announced significant progress in youth health advocacy with the Senate passing his HEARTS Act. This legislation aims to equip schools with Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and provide CPR training to prevent sudden cardiac arrest among young people. In reference to this achievement, he remarked "#BREAKING: The Senate has passed my HEARTS Act...This is a critical step to save lives and prevent tragedies like that of Edison’s Kittim Sherrod."
