Rutgers University-New Brunswick is preparing for its 259th Commencement ceremony on May 18, 2025, at SHI Stadium. Gates will open at 8 a.m., and the ceremony will proceed regardless of weather conditions at 10 a.m. Students eligible for graduation must register for tickets and parking passes online between April 1 and April 30.

Graduating students can receive one graduate ticket, six guest tickets, and two parking passes digitally through their Scarlet Knights accounts after registration closes. Additional guest tickets and parking passes are available for purchase starting April 15. Accessible parking requires a special pass obtainable during registration.

Commencement Day transportation will be supported with complimentary shuttle services from designated campus zones at Livingston and College Ave. Those arriving via taxi or car services should use the College Avenue Student Center for drop-offs, as curbside drop-off at the stadium is not permitted. Train arrivals at New Brunswick Station will find shuttle stops nearby.

Security measures include a strict bag policy. Only small clutches and clear plastic bags are permissible, with larger bags, outside food and beverages, and several other items being prohibited.
