Rep. Frank Pallone announces funding for NJ seafood industry

Rep. Frank Pallone, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey's 6th district, has been actively engaging with his constituents through social media. In recent posts, he has highlighted legislative efforts and funding announcements pertinent to his state.

On December 4, 2024, Rep. Pallone emphasized the Democratic Party's commitment to protecting abortion rights by voting on H.R. 12—the Women’s Health Protection Act. He stated: " Tonight, @HouseDemocrats are standing up to protect abortion rights. We're voting to immediately bring up H.R. 12—the Women’s Health Protection Act. Our bill would stop GOP attacks and protect abortion care nationwide."

The following day, December 5, 2024, Pallone announced new funding aimed at supporting New Jersey's seafood and aquaculture industries. He shared that Rutgers University will receive $230,665 for expanding distance learning initiatives between various educational and research facilities within the state: "Proud to announce new funding to support NJ's Seafood & Aquaculture industries. @RutgersU will receive $230,665 to expand distance learning between the Rutgers Cooperative Extension & the NJ Agricultural Experiment Station in New Brunswick & the Haskin Shellfish Research Lab."
