Rep. Frank Pallone, representing New Jersey's 6th district in the U.S. Congress, recently expressed concerns on social media regarding funding delays for fire departments and infrastructure issues in New Jersey. Serving since 1988, Pallone continues to focus on the needs of his constituents.

On April 17, 2025, Rep. Frank Pallone commented on the impact of previous administrative decisions regarding disaster management funding. He stated, "Trump hollowed out FEMA and now New Jersey fire departments are left in the lurch—forced to wait months for the funds they were promised. Firefighters shouldn’t be paying the price for his chaos."

That same day, Rep. Pallone directed his followers to additional content with "read more: https://t.co/IDjHggoq9k."

Later, he highlighted infrastructure challenges faced by New Jersey commuters due to aging facilities, exacerbated by extreme weather conditions. He tweeted, "Aging infrastructure and scorching heat brought last summer’s commuter nightmare. We can’t afford a sequel. That’s why I pushed for $112M in federal funding to modernize NJ’s busiest rail lines, and why I’m holding Amtrak and NJ Transit accountable every step of the way."

Pallone, a New Jersey native born in Long Branch in 1951, has consistently prioritized infrastructure development. He holds a BA from Middlebury College and a JD from Rutgers University-Camden.
