Frank Pallone, a long-serving U.S. Congressman representing New Jersey's 6th district, has recently expressed his concerns through a series of tweets addressing various political and economic issues. Pallone, who succeeded James J. Howard in Congress in 1988 after serving in the New Jersey Senate, voiced critical opinions on topics including the economy, international relations, and healthcare policy.

On February 18, 2025, Pallone criticized the state of the economy under former President Trump by stating that "Trump’s economy is tanking." He pointed out significant declines in retail sales and escalating prices for essential goods such as meat and poultry. He further noted that "inflation is out of control everywhere."

Later that day, Pallone addressed foreign policy issues concerning Ukraine. He asserted that "Trump begins the betrayal of Ukraine" by engaging in discussions with Russia. He likened Trump's actions to historical events involving appeasement policies during World War II.

In another tweet on the same day, Pallone warned about Republican plans to cut Medicaid funding. According to him, these proposals include "insidious ways to slash Medicaid funding" through measures like per capita caps which he believes could lead to negative outcomes such as hospital closures and job losses among healthcare professionals.
