On March 16, 2025, Rep. Pallone criticized the actions of the Trump administration regarding food policy. He pointed out what he perceives as a contradiction between Health Secretary RFK Jr.'s emphasis on healthy diets and the Agriculture Department's decision to restrict food banks and school lunch programs from purchasing local produce such as Jersey Fresh. "Trump's Health Secretary RFK Jr. keeps talking about the need for a healthy diet. Later that day, Pallone celebrated cultural festivities by acknowledging the participation of Irish Americans and their friends at the South Amboy St. Patrick's Day parade.
